Nine-time Australian Surf Masters title winner Sandra English has been in charge at Terry McDermott Surf School since 1997.

During 30 years of competitive surfing Sandra accumulated 60 titles and still managed to gain level one and level two surf coaching accreditation along the way.

In parallel with her ongoing commitments as a NSW State team coach, Sandra runs school learn-to-surf programs, dedicated “company bonding” surf days and trains some of Australia’s best junior surfing talent.

Encouraging women’s participation in surfing is a high priority at Terry McDermott Surf School, and to that end Sandra has assembled a crew of experienced local female coaches.

Her talents as both an instructor and mentor continue to be recognised, and having coached the NSW team at the Australian titles since 2002, she has been part of the coaching staff for Australia’s national team at the World Titles and was Australia’s team manager at the Masters World Titles in Peru in 2008.
